Why not just allow you to take a picture with the front facing camera? Simpler, will work with a modern iPhone, photographic evidence of the person who has your phone.

"Don't encourage others to catch up to you, slow yourself down to their pace." Fuck that. I've been doing that all my life, and it leaves me unsatisfied. How about, "Surround yourself with other smart people and change the world."

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that a work environment shouldn't be difficult for one person, and easy for another based on a discriminating factor, but let's be realistic people! There are going to be situations in life where you'll be

I had a lot of problems with chairs, I couldn't seem to find the right one. That is when I realized there wouldn't be a right chair. I converted to a standing desk, haven't looked back since.

I don't think Apple blocks Firefox on iOS. Other browsers like Opera exist in the App Store, maybe Mozilla just hasn't developed FF for iOS yet? Or am I wrong?

At the bottom of the features page >RubyMotion is 100% compliant with Apple's App Store policies. Your code is compiled ahead-of-time, never interpreted, and you access the entire set of iOS public APIs. At the end, a RubyMotion app loo

Anyone who has done any serious MacRuby development would already tell you that normal Ruby gems aren't usually the best way to go (slow, don't use Objective-C frameworks). I can see where this could be a problem if you typically just glue

Keep in mind that Windows XP users can't upgrade to IE9, they're stuck on IE8 or an alternative. There are still a lot of Windows XP machines out there.

You shouldn't be thinking "mobile first", or "desktop first". The answer is responsive web design. Use CSS media queries to deliver the same content styled for smaller screened devices (mobile). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Responsive_Web_

Hold up. 1) If you don't agree, don't contribute (time or money). You're doing OSS wrong. 2) Obviously Yehuda has given a lot to Rails and other OSS communities. He recognizes a problem (regardless of its origin) that he wants to fix. Posts

It's all about implementation. Instead of 50 features, perhaps there is a "2012 Feature Pack" that provides all the new features for 2012 and previous. The developer has a lot of flexibility on how to manage In-App purchases. All In-App pur

I wasn't directing the laziness comment specifically at Wil Shipley, I'm sure he isn't. It was more of an aside; a widely generalized comment. Most of us know "indie" devs aren't lazy. It was more to the point that it is easier to complain

The ability to restore previous purchases to an app is built into In-app purchases, the developer just has to implement it.

As a developer with Apps in the MAS, I can see where this makes sense from the developer's perspective. But I think it is a mater of laziness on the dev's part. Let me explain: From a users perspective, this would suck. It is an antiquated
