I see what you're saying, but unfortunately, especially in enterprise, the browser version is often locked to something quite old. One of our clients has locked to Chrome 48. Even if Chrome followed the spec to a T, programmers still w

I think people see how Bitcoin went from a thousandth of a cent to thousands of dollars and want to get in on the ground floor for the next one. And I can't say I blame them. Seeing the prices now, I wish I'd taken a deeper intere

I have no real knowledge on this, but what if women just don't, as a generalistic point of view, find programming as interesting? There are plenty of things I don't find that interesting, or enthralling enough to pursue a career i

+1 for Pi-Hole for this sort of thing. Comes with pre-built lists of sites, and has a nice admin ui to handle blocks/allows.

Pretty much the only thing I've had problems with is generators. Regenerator runtime is so slow. Especially when making a bunch of calls with async/await

I live in Brisbane, Australia. The global hub of literally nothing. What you've just described for living expenses makes me cry a bit thinking about the amount I pay in rent here for a small apartment.

Got an XPS15 9550. metal/magnesium body, 4K screen. Really really nice to look at, and a solid work horse. Weighs a bit, but it's sturdy.

I think this might be one of the biggest problems with this. People's days would change...in the middle of the day. It's hard enough to remember what date it is. Imagine if you had to remember two a day.

Does Elementary handle mutli-resolution displays better than stock GNOME? That was a major reason for me leaving Linux. I love gnome, but I couldn't deal with not being able to use (in a stable way) a 1080p external monitor with a 4K

I built something like this a while back. Used SES to do transactional/marketing emails with custom fields. I should find out what happened to that project.

There's a standard by Google for transit timings, and Translink, the public transport authority in my state, outputs these times. They're live. Apps like 'Transit' also (accurately) show the current GPS location of the b
