No source that I'm aware of provides a public API Well that said there are a few; I quite like https://lyrics.ovh/

It's really unfortunate that there isn't a single, high-quality reference source (with an API) for song lyrics, the way there is for artist/album metadata (MusicBrainz) or cover art (Cover Art Archive). My gut tells

This. And related cause: A&R people listening to xyz's new album and judging it sounds "huge" / "phat" / "modern"... when actually it's just a bit louder than the other guys, but nobody&

Something very close to my heart. Here's an old but related site / campaign with lots of links too: https://www.turnmeup.org/

Wow - I was amazed at the sheer number of similar projects here, had no idea there was that much active in this space...

But Pycharm can (pretty much)! Alt-enter over the would-be imported term to add an import, ctrl-alt-O to autoformat / autoremove (aka optimise ) redundant ones. You can then turn on folding to not see those imports much via Prefs -

+1 ...which is why I wish Black allowed more configuration. A team can often agree on a set of styles. Every team on the Python planet agreeing... now that's much harder

I guess the closing parens irk me the most e.g. assert outputs.get("foo.bar.baz", "default") == pytest.approx( time_recorder.time_taken, abs=0.0001 ) I get why it's done that, but I just don

Aside: I love a good linter, but as a long-time Python fan I find it sad that Black has so little configuration (yes, I know, but still) and moreover that it often produces code that no human Python dev I know would write... Python was

Love SSGs too! Came here to share praise for Hakyll[1], for people with an FP leaning. Predictably, it's not easy to get started, but once you're into it the power of building your own arbitrary content "compilers" (and

The (original) problem is: for mature apps, it's often not just an apt / .deb that needs publishing. It's also a RPMs, Arch AURs, Gentoo err things (let alone *BSD systems), and various flavours of repos / interfaces wit

Aside: I wish posts like this would be (re)titled " US inflation rises 6.8%..." etc. I'm in no doubt that HN readership is mostly US-based, but it's definitely global...

Same. Was quietly excited about some subtle-but-numerate upside of the Brexit long arc that, err, I hadn't seen yet, but no we're talking about the bits between fields (which are great I guess).

Yes! I always open the HN comments for Firefox release notes, knowing I'll read a long list of negativity (and much is fair)... but somehow I'm still a happy, thankful user since (almost) day #1. Thank you FF team!

Personally I like nearly all the (many) Quorn products I've eaten, and continue to eat on occasion, as a flexitarian. Esp the large (Best of British) sausages, the "chicken" pieces and to an extent the "mincemeat".
