Apparently we're late to migrate, but I recently started the move to RainLoop: https://www.rainloop.net/ is actually much better software in my opinion, and is self-hosted unlike FastMail. Rainloop satisfies the need f

Would be 10x more awesome if an "auto-play" mode were possible, with associated audio-file, and pre-programmed transitions. Would take sound file attachment, and array of minute/second offsets; once timed to audio file, this

At the time of me writing this, the link to nim at the top of the article is wrong. I let the author know, but it ought to be: https://nim-lang.org/ The first reference to the FQDN ends with "-" before the TLD, ap

From the looks of it, you asked basically this same question within the past year. I think the real question is: are you being honest with yourself? The last time you asked this it was more along the lines of "I hate my job and want ou

With my Google Chrome 64.0.3282.119 instance, there is no user selector it seems, which is causing authentication to fail, which then causes an infinitely repeating loop of reconnection attempts all leading to a 404 or 401 response in JSON.

For the past few weeks there have been a series of 500 errors accumulating on strangely easy API requests ( like user presence detection ) on an increasing number of endpoint hits, more and more frequently.

A deeper question would be: Are we part of our environment and ought we sometimes fight to keep our location not just our social position if that is a strong feeling for us? It is possible some people belong where they are and relocation is

Regardless, whether it be OpenSSL first or /dev/urandom first, "haveged" entropy generation is still needed for virtual machines, which is the most common use case. In my experience both ways are a no-go without special

Use Rubinius or jRuby and not MRI if you want to escape the GIL. If you use any concurrency approaches with a GIL in place, there will be only an appearance of parallelism.

Does TIME factor into the cost saving here, both to research and to go so far out of the way? Seems like the savings might not actually be saved, but spent as time, many times over.
