Seems like you might not want to do it if they enter a correct existing username/password, otherwise there is the slim (but non-zero) chance that they'll fluke into an account that isn't theirs. I figure email would be a better "username" s

Hoping it's the duration of your account. I'm tempted to sign up even though I don't need it, just for the future.

I like it, although I'm having a hard time thinking of a serious case where I can use it other than for example making another CrazyEgg, which I don't think I have the time for. TINY request - add a reset button to the example. I guess it's

Just for a bit of background - this game has been around for years, used to be at torncity.com, first registered in 2004 it seems. I used to play way way way back, and it was pretty addictive (to me, although I was like 16). Most of the peo

A way that I think would be useful is, presuming you're on "fastfood.com" and not "germanfastfood.com", have a search box where you enter the food (pizza) and a location, which would be automatically filled with the GeoIP location, or blank

Oh ok. Come back in a week with your site that parallels SO in features and activity then. And "I'm too busy working on other projects" doesn't count as an excuse.

I guess what joshu was trying to say, is if you're receiving SMS, then a url with that is useless. You can't look it up on your phone, and if you can, then use twitter on your web browser instead of SMS. Even including the URL would mean yo

There's also the whole breaking out of a frameset. But the link, or maybe an informative message (Hi, you're from Digg, visit here for the permalink etc etc), would be better than rejecting Digg visitors, where many may not even be aware of

I use Firefox because I'm pretty entrenched in it now, and I know my way around it a bit better (obviously). The extensions mostly keep me though. Chrome is easily a better built and designed browser (maybe because it's newer) and if they c

On the point about pricing, I took a sec to figure it out, because I have no idea what a penny is. Maybe just change it to cent?

More global? I might be misunderstanding you but email is everywhere. It's one of the things that is recognisable by your parents, maybe even grandparents. Wouldn't it be simpler, instead of trying to build out @handle usage, to add more co

Well, I finally did it. I stopped what I was doing, and worked out my backup strategy, which includes (finally) getting a script put together, and now to adjust it to email me copies and also (contemplating) using S3 to store copies. Maybe

Oh man, I was thinking the same thing. Mine was going to be something along the lines of 'phptopython', where I could half document, half make a site about converting php code to python, or how to do similar things. I wanted it because I fo

Break the speed of light barrier. If it's not possible, then at least average out our speed to be faster (like the bending the universe sort of method). Even 1.1c would mean we wouldn't really know the limit, and would shrink the universe w

Might it be easier to just build a dedicated sort of line for each room? Like a part of the wall that opens up and is connected to the kitchen/wherever, to deliver your food. Would be harder at first but it'd be much easier down the line, a

If the least problem Facebook has is to make money, then why haven't they done it now? Don't you think it might be smart to get that little item checked off their list sooner rather than later?

Yeah, I was planning on making something for Firefox that tracked my Wikipedia treks, because I wanted to keep track of pages I went to and when, but also how I ended up there. It'd be interesting to see but also good for preserving topics.
