Just a guess but if they mean anything like in Lithuania - higher taxes. (Here in Lithuania "rich" is earning more than 45k/year.)

I always assumed it's called this because of the shape: two "bowls" at the top and bottom, handle in the middle/center? But I don't know, it's just my personal theory.

Maybe it's because HN is more popular (has more users) over all? Just a guess, I have no idea if there's correlation.

Maybe a dumb question (I have no knowledge), but why wouldn't we think of .CSV files as databases? It can have columns and rows filled with information and isn't that what makes a thing a database?

I had similar experiences in my self-help blog. I wasn't sure was it indeed due to "optimisations" or just a coincidence... :upside_down_smile_emoji:

That could be true indeed. I am just arguing in the scenario of "what if we build lots of flats", hah! I do wonder how did similar scenarios worked out historically?

Why not? It makes sense - not every job is equal and some are both important and usually not paid enough. Society or your local town won't collapse if there's not enough web developers but it may do if it lacks firefighters.

Hackernews is also a social network - and it seems like this thing works with even less posts per day? You don't need a huge following to have a functioning social group.
