I get the gist, but I waited for a day to check it again: 6 / 29 today (+ 1 hiring ad). A bit more, but still not 50% :D

Just to make sure, which part of HN are you looking at? Because at least what I managed to count at this very moment on the front page (page 1), there are 24 non-AI and non-LLM related topics out of 30. Is that rare?

They gathered up the links for processing, because Google doesn't just give a list of short links in use. So the links have to be brute-forcefully gathered first.

Wouldn't this lead to pirated page clones where customer pays less for same-ish content, and less, all the way down to essentially free? Because I as an user would be glad to have "free sites only" filter, and then just steal

I would add that also a lot of solar power is funded by small capital (homeowners). There is no real way for small capital holders to fund and gain profits from nuclear energy, and installing wind or water turbines are not realistic at 99%

Crazy idea, but why do kids need dropping them off to school? If school is not further than 1 km, kid can just walk there. And in most German (and other European) cities schools are nearby. And for locations that are remote, there are schoo

I wonder how can one even calculate time spent reading in hours. Most of reading is, after all, thinking (and reminiscing) about what you read... I think maybe OP was using some obscure meme format. Or if it was genuine I am also interested

This would be extra interesting for unique designs - something more experimental, new. As as for now even when you ask AI to break all rules it still outputs standard BS.

(And to connect this with AI...) I guess we could count the need for more efficient IT tools/engines too - use less electric and human power to fulfill our knowledge needs using better algorythms.

Have you even been in the parks and forests before, haha? :-D At least in Lithuania there were lots of caps lost - half of cleaning up the parks time was bending to pick out caps out of the dirt. Not anymore. It's similar to free plast

Have you looked into Lithuania? (I don't know about other countries, only live in this one.) Thought maybe I understood the discussion wrong, because Lithuania does have a minimum wage that is government mandated.

As all the previous booms - hard to predict before it happens. And if we do predict, high chances are that we will miss. My personal guess is something in the medical field, because surely all the AI search tools could help to detect common

I see this as an art project. (And technical exploration, because I wonder how did they manage to scrape Google.) It's made by the dude that has a lot of similarly strange and technologically impressive projects: https://wal

Goodreads is the only real (popular) review site for non-american books too. If Amazon doesn't sell lithuanian books, how can I review those there? :)

In my scale 3/5 is good (got what expected), 4/5 is very good (nice bargain), 5/5 is uniquely amazing. But I do understand that for some anything below 5/5 is bad.

Unless it was unexpectedly good. Sometimes I rush to write a 5 star review if a random restaurant in middle of nowhere exceeds my expectations - so more people would know of the place. In my scale 3/5 is good (got what expected), 4

Or as a personal note. I use Goodreads to track what I read and if I liked it or not, what was it about, so I don't accidentally buy the same book again after half a year :V

I, personally, like mistakes in writing (as with in painting or singing) - I feel that it gives the art an additional depth, context, detail and comparison with author earlier/later works, other authors. I believe that art function is

We have this situation in lithuanian web for a two decades now. Once the big news networks (DELFI.lt, 15min.lt, lrytas.lt, alfa.lt and few others) bought out the largest blogs and connected them to their own domains, there isn't much o

Wait, I wouldn't want to get recipe or furniture suggestions from a human? It would be impossible? I can see how it could be a burden, but can't see how it would be impossible... (Or am I misunderstanding?)

How is letting users to disable bloat a bad feature? For example, can you remove Chess from MacOS? Nope! Why? What I found on Reddit, it seems because it's integral part of MacOS somehow and I am a bad person for even asking, somehow.
