uBlock origin (full version) works quite nicely on Orion Browser, which is safari under the hood but supports FF extensions and chrome extensions.

I’m curious what these features like study mode actually are. Are they not just using prompts behind this (of which I’ve used many already to make LLMs behave like this) ?

These meat substitutes use the bad kind on the NOVA scale. Gums and binders. I am current reading the book you mentioned which is why I made this comment.

These meat substitutes are UPF and that’s what you should care about more than nutritional content.

Depends how convoluted your setup is. For some use cases releasing the location of passwords physically written down might help matters or maybe trigger a process to export all data and upload somewhere - somehow. Seeing some of the discuss

This could all be covered under legislation. If the EU can finally get airlines to agree on hand luggage standardisation I’m fairly sure they could agree that any additional cleaning or repairs must come with receipts. This makes it a lot e

Retargetting etc is massive revenue for online retailers. I support their right to do it if users consent to it. I don’t support their right to do it if users have not consented. The conversation is not about my opinion on tracking, anyway.

The reality is the data that is gathered is so much more valuable and accurate if you gather consent when you are running a business. Defaulting to a minimal config is just not practical for most businesses either. The decisions that are ma

It is impractical for me as a user. I have to click on a notice on every website on the internet before interacting with it - often which are very obtuse and don’t have a “reject all” button but a “manage my choices” button which takes to a

Time for the EU to legislate on this. Car rental companies should be required to provide a detailed report to the customer on the damage allowing the customer to challenge any potential cost estimation (with reason) that the rental car comp

There is a dead man’s switch service [1] which can send an email if you die. In theory if you self host you could trigger something when their email arrives to an inbox you control. I’ve been thinking of making a version of this that does a

I want nothing more now from Firefox than iterative performance improvements across all platforms and adherence to web standards. That’s it. Let extensions handle all the other crap.

Chrome full on blocked uBlock Origin (and others) this week. There is still four flags [1] you can play with that will allow you to re-enable it again, but this is a losing battle of course. The inevitable is coming. Nothing comes close to

In the early 2010s I worked for what was then one of the most popular browser extensions called web of trust. Users could mark websites as trustworthy or not and they’d appear on search results. It was far more than that behind the scenes w

Just get a nvidia shield. It plays pretty much anything still even though a fairly old device. Your aim should not be to transcode but to just send data when it comes to video.

I knew this would be a reply. Dropbox was magical and just worked and took a huge amount of pain points away from a complicated protocol. Building an LLM wrapper doesn't make a product in 2025.

That's exactly my point. This is at best a toy application driven by a prompt that many people will be able to extract and recreate. Putting the pieces together is easy and letting someone talk to an AI is not a particularly difficult

Can someone please tell me why it's so expensive to measure the quality of air? Literally all of these devices (ones that actually give accurate measurements) cost a fortune. What makes the sensors so expensive?

I’ve had the opposite experience. Just tell it to optimise for speed and iterate and give feedback. I’ve had JS code optimised specifically for v8 using bitwise operations. It’s brilliant.
