Still, there are plenty of gore enthusiasts who have no other talent or prospects besides being able to consume massive amounts of gruesome gore. Surely they could find employment in this field.

I think there will come a day, shortly after the arrival of “AGI”, that people will declare all the useful science humanity could possibly do has already been done, and there is no need for scientific research anymore. We solved everything

There are individuals who actively enjoy or even seek out this kind of graphic content. I never understood why they aren’t recruited more as their unique talent would probably help them excel in this kind of career. I remember on Reddit som

There is another project that does exactly this, looks like it was basically copied verbatim.

Here’s what I don’t get: while this makes for a fun blog post, you can just program an efficient killing machine that probably wins all the time and has $0 in token costs. LLMs should work to build such a machine, not be the machine themsel

AI friendly code is more important than battle tested code. The sooner you start the conversion the less behind you will be later.

We are there. Plenty of people already vibe code entire apps without looking at the code. If you aren’t looking at the code, you shouldn’t have to think about storing the code or even deploying it. It should live close to the LLM where it p

If you want to be a pedant, sure, you could say people do click it! But then you always have to speak in disclaimers and technicality, or you will give the wrong impression. Most reasonable people will compare usage rate to some minimum eff

Why satire? Instead of dumping code on GitHub, you open repos on Anthropic and the details of languages and code are all abstracted away for you. You just have your application deployed and you use it as you develop and request changes. Zer

One of the cool things to do with Perlin noise is to build a kinda predictable random number generator. Good for games.

Crazy how AI has become a sort of religion beyond question for some people. AGI is like the big nerd rapture they’re all waiting for, any day now.

“Banned books” is just a safe term to use for something whose real purpose would be to facilitate sharing warez, snuff films, child porn, whistleblowing… etc. Get a grip.

There is a solution: users must not be allowed to directly read code. Your code could be entirely hosted and edited on Anthropic servers, visible only to LLMs, and when it’s time to deploy Anthropic handles deployment for you.

Is it better to render directly in WASM or could you do game logic in WASM and then render in JavaScript with a JS graphics engine?

I think these kind of projects fail to impress these days, with or without AI. You need a second order effect, like “I did X using this thing I built Y”, where X is the actual impressive part and the Y is just an implementation detail. Mayb

I don’t think we could boil the oceans or even affect their temperature much even if we put every data center on Earth into the oceans and multiplied their amount by 10. Earth is really, really big.
