Of course web apps are hard. They run in this weird VM that wasn't even designed for the applications. The popularity caused by the ease of deployment made us brute-force the solutions for the actual development tools, and they keep se

You're using the words wrong. The code may have undefined behaviour. For example, a race condition is an UB. Compiler won't invent locks that were not specified by the programmer in a code with some raw threads. As a result, CPUs

Well, when we got mice, they felt kinda optional. So organically we used the left hand for them. I keep it like that now. There are way more buttons on the keyboard - more work for the right hand. Default WASD gaming is also more solid: pla

You pretty much have to maintain an install script for bare metal. It has to check everything and install&configure everything. We then ask to rerun the script. If it fails, we fix the script.

Well, we're talking about the early nineties. Contemporary VBA developers (or whatever it is about) can point their pitchforks vertically, ok?

Bot Crystal Maiden was killing allright by casting non-targeted spells into the fog (where the enemy ran to hide). Sniper and Viper have non-targeted abilities that they were using to zone the enemy in a teamfight.

They can't mess up the ults because it's very improbable that they'll cast them on the same tick. They can't mess up the help in the teamfights because they see the intentions of each other by the way the heroes move. Th

It looks like a package manager choice. Dpkg/Apt isn't doing by default what they actually need, so they use Docker instead.

If web-Qt goes widespread you'll be editing QML scripts (which is much more pleasant for applications than CSS scripts) and installing WebGL/WebVulkan hooks/shaders. So that's probably a question of familiarity.

Let's be real. The defining thing of the web was the distribution model: you install a VM (the browser), and all the software just loads. But the rendering/interaction web tech was designed for documents, not applications. That br
