I don't have FSD enabled on my Model 3, but I have the FSD visualization preview. I'd be terrified of FSD at night. During the day I don't see it have any issues registering cars and other obstacles, but during night it barel

Interesting, I had two amazon offers and no signing bonus was like that. They essentially just prorated it out over the first two years as extra monthly income to be equivalent to the stock you would get in the later two years.

Well paying for flight, hotels, eating out, etc will cost several thousand more than just staying at home playing video games.

I would love something like that, either touch trackpad or some trackball with easy way to left click and right click. No more switching between "two different input devices".

It's not clear to me really where to start for somebody like that me that has advanced CS knowledge but knows nothing about robots. Still just start from the basics?

With spending 300k seven years ago what is the value of the property now? Would't be surprised if it's 600k+. Let's assume you put 60k into downpayment and maybe you've gotten another 40k in principal put in from payment

I wonder how well Postgres is up to the task of analytical queries? Most people use Postgres for OLTP, maybe they are running some version of it that uses a column store?

You could say this about anything that has been around right? Basically an argument to say "Don't innovate, X has been around for a long time and works!"

It's widely accepted you should almost always use some smart pointer like unique_ptr or shared_ptr, and even sometimes the the unpopular weak_ptr depending on your use case.

I think the Scheme quote is interesting, because it almost applies to C. Most people consider learning C hard (for example, compared to python), but it is an extremely small language with a "standard library so small it's pretty

This is me. 28, had mild hearing loss for about 3 years now in one ear due to a bad ear infection. I can get by fine, however I'm definitely missing out on a lot of "richness" of sound. I can't hear high pitched noises,

While you probably aren't using B+-tree indexes like databases, can you use a setup like them were you can create a "paged" data structure and use some buffer pool to bring pages in and out?

Yes, I noticed the same thing the past few weeks, and it seems increasingly bad. I'm really surprised because 10+ years before this I don't recall even a single spam getting past the filter.

Interesting I run in my dreams quite often. I didn’t know some people couldn’t. However in my dreams I can’t really punch, all punches feel like they have no “weight” to them if that makes sense.

I argue it has a hidden gambling aspect with raids. Most of the desirable pokemon comes from raids, and of course you want desirable stats. There are about 3 levels of gambling here that get people hooked in: 1. Catching the pokemon at all.
