Actually, a fair number of us will see the font change. People are more aware of typography than you may realize. ...maybe you do! In which case, this makes real sense: "[almost] nobody will care." I wouldn't, but I sure wo

Bullshit, horseshit, cows hot. The whole win 11 thing is embarrassing. They are this far in, pushing features nobody asked for and is there any wonder the numbers blow chunks? None.

Some keyboard apps will input those shortcut combos. Many work on phones. I found out when using a Bluetooth keyboard one day for some emergency doxument create when I got stuck with both a deadline and a dead laptop.

Yeah, I figured as much. Sad day :( For what it was worth, I really enjoyed helping everyone ramp up on NX. At that time in my career, I was ramping many similar groups up and many came from Apple and were experiencing sticker shock! (The

I really hope this project succeeds. In some small ways I was involved with Gen 1 and Gen 2 and the teams that built those products really cared. I doubt they would have said turn them off.

I am speculating here. The reason for it being a two level device at present is likely due to it being mostly research and not so much engineering. They say their next chip will deliver grey scale and many more signal points. My guess on co

The lag would be in signal processing external to the user. Interpolation would be more transparent, much like it is for you right now. There are no phosphors in tubes in any of this. I made no such "snow crash" assumption. Users

Yes, and unlike the LLM they can iterate on a problem. When I multiply, I take it in chunks. Put the LLM into a loop, instruct it to keep track of where it is and have it solve a digit at a time. I bet it does just fine. See my other comme

A while back I saw a post where people ran a model over and over to accomplish a code base port from one language to another. In their prompt, they told it to leave itself a note and to accomplish something each time. Then they put the mode

My take on his book is it contains many tools one can use to reason about UX issues effectively. Parts of the book are dated, but that does not seem to take away from otherwise solid user interface discussion.

This crap is exactly why I do not ever purchase devices like these. Yeah, I don't have a smart home, but all my old stuff works great and that will continue until after I have left this place. Maybe I do have a smart home.

Perhaps. It is a little hard for me to gage. The non criminal part in all this does carry serious weight with me, and on that basis I agree more with you. It is harsh. It does not need to be.

They can be excellent, but only in the moment. The excellent communities I have been a part of can be searched. People can read it and learn. The Discord ones, unless they publish to a wiki or something, just don't exist.

Painful! How does one get shut out? Perhaps a story of his life now could be told to whatever politician may make sense? (I just do not know that for your part of the world) Seems to me there must be some basic government run thing to mana

I hate that about Discord. It is a fun comms application, but it is severely lacking as a community. Once, before I realized this, I recommended users of a forum use Discord. The impact was severe and fortunately brief. We all realized w

This whole discussion is blowing my mind! When I hit your comment: 1. I thought, "YES! Indeed!" 2. Then, "For Sale: Baby Shoes." 3. The similar feel caused me to do a rethink on all this. We are moving REALLY fast!
