Good to know. That was basically the use case for it back in the day too. Multiple video streams.

Me too. SGI had good support for it in IRIX and I am pretty sure I saw one video streaming solution using it on a LAN to maximize the throughput possible. Seems like a good tech that fell into disuse.

Nope Well, there is one scenario I would be OK with, and that is ALL people are subject regardless of status. Think Larry would take the same deal peons get? And that right there is why I say nope.

OpenSCAD is really neat! It comes at the model representation process in a very different way. In it's current form, it will never replace CAD as we know it today. People have a hard enough time breaking an object they can see into fe

The older recordings are not encoded with the Arbitron type artifacts. New ones may be. When I compare new vs old, this comes up. Broadcasters put data in band and have done so for what? A decade now? You mentioned out of band tracking d

There is a big world out there beyond rendering. CAM people, for example drive numerically controlled machines and robots. (CNC machines) These machines are driven by lines, arcs, higher order analytic curves, such as the conic, and recen

Thanks for your experience. Good to know. There is a ton of gear depending on the current spectrum plan. Seems to me all very problematic and what I read makes it look like the ground based GPS is a ruse for the real money which is selling

Here is the money quote: What NextNav did include however is its intent to resell their exclusive bandwidth access to mobile 5G networks. They admit nobody is calling for ground based GPS. And that can be done in lots of ways and on spectr

Yes. That can be quite effective. I will be writing one. They do not have to attempt this on 900Mhz. And they shouldn't, unless they can do it in a way that does not disturb considerable use of the spectrum present today. And perhaps

Actually people can hear those. Not all people of course, but I am noticing artifacts in the vocals on some music remasters. Others have reported similar experiences. It is not a big impact. But it is one and I am not entirely sure we ne

The author employs a bold technique I have used for years and does it very well.[1] Essentially, you bold the essential message for scanners, or those looking for the meat of it quickly. Done well, it is not too distracting, though I have r

I will be frank: there are a ton of devices I have not purchased because of these potential risks and dependencies. Just not worth the hassle. I pretty much avoid newer cars for similar reasons. The ones I drive have no annoying screen.
