Weird but I still think Elon’s idea of needing confirmed identity for a checkmark is solid. If anonymous users then are nicer than checkmarked users, I guess the filter will work in reverse? The elimination of bots will be nice if they can

Agree. The big one you missed is identity. Most hate is anonymous. Being able to filter by tags like “known racist” or whatever, and seeing someone’s history of sharing misinformation is useful but most people would self-censor if their id

Twitter has corporate users and advertisers. If it became 4chan, that would all evaporate. It also has professionals. There’s a point at which unmoderated content drives out all but the trolls, spammers, and haters.

I know my left wing friends would claim the media still is right wing and truly left wing ideas are disallowed. It may be that the left wing was censored and vilified for so long that it ceased existing in the US.

It’s actually quite amazing that we got the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It has real teeth. The only similar thing in the last 15 years was Dodd Frank and the CFPB. Something like the FCRA for privacy would be amazing.

I strongly agree with this comment. “Even if we assume the crazy sounding laptop repair shop story were 100% true, we had partisan political operatives shopping a story to journalists about the supposedly scandalous revelations cribbed from

From what I’ve read, it seems to be cloud hacked data placed in a laptop and deliberately turned into a partisan repair shop in an attempt to wash that it was hacked just like DNC/Podesta stuff. Thus the media treated it as hacked atte

Trump fired people that investigated him for any weak reason he could. He fired multiple FBI directors. Investigations aren’t a conspiracy as you get a day in court and Trump had many of his team go to jail after being convicted in a court.

Two FBI agents conspired against him? According to who? Trump? Investigating leads is conspiring against you? I don’t know the veracity of the claim that the FBI told the media to censor negative news. The media was definitely on guard for

Autism exploded when Back to Sleep exploded for babies. For a good chunk of babies (and their parents), forced back sleeping is hugely disruptive to sleep. So much so that the only way anyone gets rest is belly sleep on top of a parent. Sle

It doesn’t matter if it’s in the ToS if everything else misrepresents and misleads the user. Or regularly gets changed to undermine the user’s expectations. That’s bad faith, fraud, etc.
