Hmm. There's very little difference between actual complexity and perceived complexity. If you add options for features that could possibly increase complexity, you also increase the chance that someone feels the perception that the app is

While this is a pretty good idea, it adds a significant amount of complexity to news.yc. A lot of the appeal of this site is in its simplicity, and adding this public/private commenting system would kind of sacrifice that feeling.

There's something abnormal about having a site dedicated to shoelaces. Anyway, this knot will shave about 5.5 seconds off my daily commute. Thanks!

Karma shouldn't affect what you have to say, and it shouldn't make you retract your statement; it just indicates that other people don't agree with you. Your editing to remove the unpopular comment made me downvote you.

I am absolutely stunned by the percentage delinquency for these loans. After going through the site for a while, I can't find a single loan that has been defaulted or delayed. I don't understand why a paraguayan store owner would need $1075

Inc. is the only magazine I regularly read. If I don't have time to skim through the entire thing, I always read the section that documents an entrepreneur's story. Many of those stories are informative and inspirational. One of them a few

That is the most ridiculous article title I have ever seen on hacker news. It's one thing for a Senator to endorse a candidate, but xkcd? Just... no.

True, Scoble can be annoying, but the content in this "piece" is pretty interesting. Amazingly, Scoble got Zuckerberg to admit that he is shy. The other arbitrary stuff, like the friend limit and Scoble's questionable grammar, are are worth

The huge disadvantage is that there's a lot of misinformation in tutorials now. The first page :scaffold section of just about every beginning Rails tutorial is broken in Rails 2. Lots of little things are changed. Some of them are confusin
