Its always sad/disappointing/curious when non-american engineers choose to use american accents as their voice choice instead of their ethnicity or literally anything else.

And yet it's still not sufficiently commoditized and widespread. The majority of the working force is using proprietary solutions that are out of date - Tableau, JMP in HW engineering, SAS and Excel

Stopped reading when I saw a bar chart being used for correlating critic and audience scores.

Videos would be great, but what you be better are real trials using a) vibe coding b) basic CLAUDE.md c) your system P.S: And it wasnt the em-dashes, its the general structure and the recognizable bullet points with emojis.

This is a more advanced version of what I'm doing. I was impressed that someone took it up to this level till I saw the tell tale signs of the AI generated content in the README. Now I have no faith that this is a system that was devel

> but obsidian does a lot on top of these md files What do they do besides the frontmatter (which is fairly trivial to process or ignore in a hypothetical future where one wants to stop using obsidian)?

Just use obsidian instead. Don't trust 3rd parties with your sensitive data if you dont have to - especially ones who've to IPO and delivet returns to investors

I don't say this often or lightly: my mind is blown. Why is this not catching fire? Especially in the day of vibe coding this is a far better and far more effective route to app building

It stuns me how bad many engineers are in basic communication. Made something? Dont start with a long, protracted "This is how i built it from step 1". Show the damn thing! Then tell me how you built which i will be interested in

I've been saying he we need sub 1B models for the edge so thanks fot this. I am however disappointed that there is no examples, or benchmarks, provided to get a sense of performance. It's a given that benchmark values would be low

This wasn't even in the realm of what I thought is possible for a single person to do. Incredible work! It doesn't seem that far in diatance from a commercial search engine? Maybe even Google? 50k to run is a comically small numbe

1) they're not all using it at the same time 2) you must likely CAN run a GPT-4 equivalent model locally 3) still requires a lot of engineering but it's a field that has grown a lot since the cloud era

And ollamas founder was on here posting that they are still focused on local inference... I don't see ollama as anything more than a funnel for their subscription now
