I like to wear nice dress shoes, so that's certainly a factor. It took no more than a moment to learn to do the first half of the knot "wrong" (i.e. to be compatible with the second half of the knot) - and I'd say it was

This is one of the small marvels of the internet. I tied mine wrong for decades and while it's not a life-changer I do love having shoes that don't constantly untie themselves these days. https://www.fieggen.com/

You're not the only one I'm sure, but sounds like you don't need it. Its major strengths are: • Bottomless resource of developers with Java experience • Vast array of existing libraries many of which are enterprise focused •

That sounds like a delightful project! This contemporary book from Usborne demonstrates the point that basic stepper controls from an 8-bit computer were well within hobbyist reach: https://drive.google.com/file/d/

It depends how you define "affordable". Daedalus (the late David E.H. Jones) writing in New Scientist in 1974 sketched an idea for a laser-based system and almost immediately received a notice of complaint from an existing patent

It's just barely possible that this is not an entirely serious paper. Scientists like to have fun too, you know? Not to mention that frivolous research has been known to pay surprising dividends.

I saw a lot of that too - I just see more and worse with gradle. Maven gave us two things; good dependency management and convention driven builds (removing the horrible scripted build stuff in Ant). Gradle from my point of view took the se

Yes, I submitted this sub-page as I thought the puzzle might interest (and amuse) the HN crowd. I'm sure the vast majority of people arrive at the site owner's main page though.
