The goal of business is to undermine competitors. It's hard to imagine a good person with such mindset.

Some kind stranger has explained the numerical solution and even provided code in Python: http://hplgit.github.io/wavebc/doc/pub/._wavebc_cyborg001.ht... We only need to apply it to a circle and rewrite the s

That above isn't just an idea, it's the idea of sound visualization. It's a bijective projection between sound and shape that turns nice sound into nice shapes and vice versa. The analog sound visualizer would be an air fille

It's a topic that's been fascinating me for a while. Sounds, speech and music "produce" images in some sense, so visualizing sound on a flat screen is a meaningful thing to do. That parallel with the Heisenberg principle

Then you should start with Senior Management and especially the C levels. What was that quote from the office? "There's only one person in charge in every office and his name is Charles Darwin"

It was an easy way to make some initial capital. I would've done that in the banking sphere if I could.

I've been there and only learnt that this "wait to be chosen" attitude never pays off. It's rewarded, but the reward is a pittance compared to what that energy could buy. My advise to myself 20yo would be: learn how to d

The right answer should be: I've build capital and started my own business.

Those 4% are 0.04% for some and 40% for others. Now the question is, if you're young and healthy, do you prefer the virus or the untested vaccine?

People with this "help others" mindset lose competition against their more ruthless peers. If you had a business, would you help others to compete with you?

The 1% contribution to others is good for the manager, because he gets to take credit for the entire team. The 10% self improvement is good for that individual, because he can leverage that into a better paying role.

My favorite theory is that the Wuhan virus lab created the virus and used bats in experiments. One bat escaped and infected other bats that eventually ended up on the wet market in Wuhan. Edit: a more plausible theory is that one researcher

Is this all this tracking achieves? I personally assume that I'm infected until proven otherwise. Even if proven, I can get infected a day later. I don't need a tracker to tell me this.

Air pollution isn't good for health: cancer, heart diseases are the leading causes of death. The virus kills a few, mostly old and sick and mostly males, but saves many, as people can finally see how clear air looks. So yeah, restartin

I have experienced alternatives a good part of my life. The words I'd use to describe American suburbs are: quiet, green, peaceful. I get that many people are scared to be alone, but that's entirely in their heads.
