I work in the telematics/trucking software space. Many many many trucks travel less than 2-300 miles a day (Intermodal, dray, etc). Not every truck driver is crushing miles every day, many operations are just between different modes of

This looks pretty nice on a brief skim. Would love if it was packaged as an ebook rather than a bunch of medium posts.

yeah all the different settings can be a little overwhelming. I'm constantly in awe I'm able to take photos of stuff that basically ten years ago+ you needed a damn helicopter for.

Well, you're correct for sure. Considering they're all discretionary "toys" for most of us (unless you're a pro, in which case you'll probably be spending a lot more for an Inspire or something), an extra $500

I just upgraded from the P3S to the Mavic actually. While a good starter drone, the P3S is inferior to the other models in quite a few ways, so I'd recommend anyone interested in a drone to just save up a few more bucks and buy the Mav

Only launched recently, and the prospects of it making money one day are slim: https://engineered.at Still fun to keep up to date with Rails with, and to just code in general (as a product manager now, don't get to code muc

The fees are percentage based, so the investment interval doesn't matter. $5/day gets you a $0.15 fee, $35 a week is $1.05. It all nets out to the same dent made.

Both great suggestions! I think the weighting will be dependent on getting more engagement on the site overall, which is a tricky thing early on, but working on it!

As former heavy RSS users, what do you think of a site like this one I put together? https://engineered.at It sort of "hides" the RSS feeds behind a social news interface, using a ranking algo like reddit/HN.

I built this site: https://engineered.at It's like HN, but powered by hundreds of startup tech/engineering blog feeds. It pulls in some really good stuff! Not a lot of users yet, just barely getting it going so far, le

I have a lot more to do on this but figured hey let's share it since it's online. This is a feed aggregator of about 500+ blogs that are pulled in automatically and fed through an HN/Reddit style interface. Was a fun little t

Spin up a 2gb+ DigitalOcean server and toss Dokku on it. Feels like Heroku, very reliable, very simple to understand by just reading the Dokku source. AWS is a great great thing, but has opaque pricing and a lot of nuance to getting everyth

My wife and I have been doing Keto since May 1st. I'm down 17lbs now (started at 221, right around 204-205 now, goal is 195). She started at 135 (she's 5'8" so not much for her to lose) and is down around 129 now. Weight
