Anyone else notice the string "macOS" in the screenshot? Is Apple moving away from the OS X naming scheme?

This was the first thing I noticed as well. 40% of the tutorial is setup. It doesn't HAVE to be that painful just to get a working environment going, but it gets painful pretty quickly if you pile on Webpack and PostCSS and a testing s

That doesn't sound too far from Desktop Computing as a Service. It will be a sad day when I have to pay $9/month to be able to log into my desktop.

Is there any replacement for that Esc=STOP functionality? Every now and again I run into a site that will display some content, and then 1-2 seconds later, cover it up with a full-page ad or signup modal or whatever. I wish I could just ref

I've been writing about this a lot recently -- particularly with React, where do you start? I think your "start from scratch" approach is actually the right one, and the only caution I'd add is that you'll probably

You seem open to questions so I'll ask :) I've always wondered -- if you're living in a van, and you don't like where you are (food is expensive, winter is coming, etc), why not just drive somewhere else? I don't ev

I'm a fan of React. Having used Angular 1.x for a few years professionally and spent some brief time with Angular 2, React seems like a much cleaner way to write view code. The biggest hangup people seem to have at first is JSX ("

What prevents a group of scientists from setting up doingscience.io or whatever, and publishing their results to a big shared blog? Do the contracts stipulate that their findings can only be published in specific paid journals?

Sure! Just locate the element you want to draw in, set up a 2d context, start a path, move to one end of the line, draw a line, and then stroke that line so it fills in! How much simpler could it be really?

I don't see the point made often, but I think that "Java-grade" is what a lot of developers (the backend ones) actually want. Or, rather, they'd prefer if JavaScript morphed into something closer to Java. I suspect many
