I think that your assertion about high color temperature being important is less strong than you thought it was.

Wave a knife around in your kitchen with flickering lights. You'll see that the effect is not invisible, but an edge case. Just like with flickering LEDs on vehicles, you can't tell right away exactly where the vehicle is. Just ha

> On top of that, even the "warm" color temperature LEDs put out a pretty good spike of blue light. That's what I figured. LCD monitors are all painful for me to look at as well.

You do realize Northern Europeans are adapted to needing less sunlight? I would emulate candles if I were you. Which means warm color temperatures. So you don't need the product of this thread, you just need a simple warm color tempera

You could have saved all this trouble and just used time-tested incandescent bulbs. No offense but this whole article and thread is just getting each other to buy stupid crap. LED lights have far more problems than color temperature not mat

All these problems are caused by the mindless American consumer. If you look at a hardware review for absolutely anything tech related, it will be some absolutely useless 1 paragraph of content surrounded by 3 paragraphs of non useful infor

It would be possible if there were lots of competent universities but, clearly, given the lack of quality of current software and hardware full of digital crap ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33390906#33394351 ), this

Yep. Everything turned to garbage when "it all went digital", in the early 2000s. Now every single electronic product from appliances to vehicles are completely broken. Even the average thermostat spazzes out. There's no stan

I've always seen Ubuntu as extremely non-utilitarian, given that the desktop is slow and buggy as hell for example, and now even the terminal itself will show ads instead of doing work. I'll stick with Gentoo.

I thought the reason we can't have nice things is because everyone wants a game where they can obtain things and keep them forever except for in extremely rare "fair" circumstances.

What's with the hacker community and their obsession with a terminal emulator? You're just writing to a framebuffer when you call printf. You may as well cut out the middleman and get better, more responsive controls and rendering

Consider a BR game. 100 players per game. 0.1% being cheaters means 0.01 players per game are cheating. If you play 100 games, then maybe a cheater will be in your game. In fact I have played 10K games in one BR and 2K in another, and these
