In NYC, an already expensive place to rent, a mortgage for a similar spot that I rent would be around double the monthly payment plus the 20%+ down.

Also would add that the vast majority of realtors are just middlemen who take their cut and add little to no value.

You're not taking into account that housing prices can fall, not just stay flat and there are always things to fix and deal with in a house that you own. Renting it out is also not always gauranteed or easy if you are not nearby or don

I can say I'm very much on the other side now after owning (and unfortunately still owning) a townhome that I used to love living in but now can't seem to get rid of in Seattle while I rent across the country. I moved for work and

What compensation are you talking about? Most founders make very little.

Most of these founders are performative. It's like the rash of cringey overproduced startup videos, just meant to try to get eyeballs in a time where sadly startup founders are trying less to be good at tech and more to be cluely-like

eh no. a good education system educates the populous. if a student's goals are to play sports and never learn to read, that is irrelevant, they are measured on the education aspect. if their goals are to become a professional streamer,

If you can't take a kid's iPad away the parents have made major mistakes and the only option is for the school to directly address this addiction head on.

yes, if you're in any job that interacts with a lot of people and is at least a little technical. writing for communication and math proficiency are both extremely important for being effective.

I spent a lot of time on ML driven dialogue and natural language understanding for games in the pre-llm days working with some folks building Xbox, PC, and VR/AR games, and I'm excited about the potential here. The major barriers

This makes me miss the Nokia N800 I had when I was in college and working part time tech support. Ran a modified Debian and I could whip out a folding Bluetooth keyboard to ssh into a server. Felt like you were part of Hackers, even if the

A few reasons: 1. Some people want to have a very clear set of rules/process for which emails are "viewable" by an AI Agent, so a seperate "inbox" makes it a little easier for people to understand what an Agent is l

We’d love to hear feedback on this. It’s a proof of concept but I really want to 1) offer agents within an inbox (and integrate to” “dispatch” work to agents running in services like n8n or retool), and 2) offer email inboxes for agents the

I think the truth is somewhere in between. I find label studio to be lacking a lot of niceties and generally built for very the average text labeling or image labeling use case, but anything else (like a multi-step agent workflow or some so

I have worked at multiple of the FAANGs. I know quite well how much overhead these kind of releases take and how much overhead any centralized release team made to “help” end up adding. It’s not just a few small things that you mention.
