At least in the US, I believe so long as you do not sell or transfer items, you can make them for your own use without licensing the patent. To win a law suit, the company would have to "show harm". They can't. They lost e

Well, that is kind of stale news. The sending of a few dots worked for a few weeks. I even participated. But a pack of angry hams sending dots was worse than the woodpecker. But anyway, after moving off the ham bands for a while, the woodpe

LF CR was always wrong. On a real TTY, it often takes longer than one character time for the CR to execute. CR has to accelerate and decelerate an actual physical mass. LF CR did surface briefly in the early days of PC’s, I can’t remember w

Amazon is simply the worlds largest fence for counterfeit goods, and should be treated as such. If your local pawn shop did what Amazon does, the owners would take a ride in a black-and-white cab.

It is interesting how that has changed over time. In the 1830's, the most valuable part of the beef animal was the hide, followed by the tallow. The meat was the cheap byproduct. Same for pork. In the 1940's, lard was highly va

From a manager's perspective, what I think is a great 1:1 is two things: 1. Delegate up. If you have blockers that we haven't talked about already out of 1:1 cycle, bring that first so that we can figure out how to knock it down.
