I was a bit confused what this adds other than just standard CDN-Cache-Control page caching that we do now. Some quirks I've found; - You still get billed per request, whether the request hits cache or not (but don't get billed fo

The copy paste approach is just a plain bad idea, I am not sure why this doesn't get more criticism

It's so staccato throughout, a human wouldn't write like this.

Oh come on Opus is perfectly good enough for any coding task. You will barely notice when it drops down from Fable.

I would say their Codex product is probably better, I just don't use it because I prefer Opus

No, their products are just janky and unreliable. Have you tried using their cloud environments for Claude Code? They're unusable, and I'm not choosing that word lightly. There are even blatant UX issues in the consumer Claude app

> This is going to be amazing for things like PR previews and code review. Being able to deploy a preview to a working URL for free is a huge reduction in friction. Uh that's already true?

"Traditional E2E tests are slow to set up and expensive to maintain." I don't really understand this. If I'm already using Opus to write the code, surely it would know best what E2E tests to write to be able to verify it

It's a very different way of implementing ad blocking yes but it still works for 99% of the old use cases. Chrome "closing the door on ad blockers" is just blatantly not the case and over-exaggerating.

I think you are overthinking it. If Chrome actually wanted to ban ad blockers they could just do it.

Interestingly I had a pleasant experience with Vercel's AI support recently. I challenged a charge I shouldn't have had, it self-diagnosed to confirm that the invoice had been generated incorrectly, and actioned a refund! No human

If I have a fully maxed out MacBook Pro, would it make sense to just switch from Opus 4.8 to this? I've never tried running local models for coding...

I don't really understand these deals in the "AI is scary and can build anything" world. OpenAI certainly could have just built this themselves? It's not like they're buying the customer base.
