But they do have to make a profit or they will cease to exist. Money is not some fictional number.

Dead on arrival. There are 6 separate "general" instances. Normal people will never use this.

Sounds like it's Payment Request API + the biometric verification, so no more "open your bank app to approve this transaction"

The app is getting shut down for $0 regardless, why would anyone pay $10m to shut it down?

Okay but what does this even mean in terms of API usage? Why would Reddit buying Apollo "quiet down" its API usage? I accept I may just be missing something here but I don't understand this.

I don't really buy the phrase "go quiet" in terms of API usage, it does sound like the developer was backtracking when called out on it

Really it would make more sense to be added to Launchpad but they seem to have all but forgotten about that feature

Not really. Plenty of Electron apps for web apps like Notion, Figma, Linear all support tabs.

I think the AirPods Max are a lot more hit and miss than the others... for myself and people I know, they were just too heavy/uncomfortable compared to eg the Sony WH XM series.

Every company I've worked at just serves images from something like Imgix or Cloudinary, which converts them on the fly. Never have to think about it.

I mean you could apply "What is he thinking?" to almost anything he's done with Twitter. Which leads you to the obvious conclusion... he does not think.

I will also say, looking at the quality of the app in its current state, they just do not have a strong enough engineering team. They've been working on this for years and the UI/UX is extremely rough.

I'm surprised they haven't added support in Finder for the iPad to just show up with direct access to its file directory. Surely you must be able to directly move files between an iPad and a Mac that don't require going over

That really is annoying. Apple has APIs for adding door keys / office passes to the NFC wallet. WeWork could fix this if they wanted to.
