You nailed it. Only option is to build skills, preferably on company time. Just remember there's a lot of mediocre devs, and you probably have more time than you think to do things.

I suspect you have something cool, but I think if you told a clearer example story that solves a real-world problem on the homepage it might alleviate some questions I'm seeing (and also having) in the thread here!

Given the same compiler, I believe they would be the same between runs given the same inputs. I suppose that could not be true at the margins, but I would expect correctness out of whatever path it chose.

I'm curious why this is a vs and you have to pick both? I've found coding for the love of code always helped me accelerate my speed and ability so that I could also deliver solidly on time and solve the problems too.

I just don't think there's much upside to telling it how it is in the press release that gets buried after a week and everyone moves on. For better or worse.

I've found the users-first mentality degrading over the years at companies. It's a bit jarring too, since a lot of my early training was pretty user-centric.

I've gone fully to Linux and all my games surprisingly run. I was ready to ditch some but I even got Blizzard stuff working which was my main concern.

If you're on macOS have you tried Karabiner Elements? It seems to do just fine with software mapping my macbook keyboard.

Insanely easier to use, way better programming language, a kitchen sink of macOS APIs, and you can still call out to AppleScript when you need it: https://www.hammerspoon.org/docs/hs.osascript.html#applescri...

I have an unreleased pile of tutorial projects with Hammerspoon. I think not all chapters are finished, so I need to clean up and finish it at some point soon: https://learnhammerspoon.com

Karabiner can _create_ new keys like hyper, but you _bind_ them with Hammerspoon.

Learning the new layout can be vastly accelerated by doing typing practice slowly, instead of trying to do 100wpm and crashing out. Doing it slowly makes the same brain connections, and you can exponentially ramp the speed up once you get s

I had my cello played in on a machine when I bought it as it was included no charge. I didn't A/B it though so I don't know how much of a difference it made.
