I disagree, if you are going to be poor then there are far worse places. I had a similar upbringing btw, single mother with 3 siblings.

But choose not to? I really don't understand why people choose to have a career in politics so that they can achieve nothing at all?

The advent of cheap flights made holidays within Europe affordable to most people. As a consequence, traditional UK holiday destinations became much less popular. Over time old-fashioned guest houses, B&Bs and cheap hotels transitioned

I believe it is common with some nationalities (S Korea, for example) to study to the point of perfection but be very reluctant to speak another language outside of a classroom situation. As a UK citizen, we have the opposite problem.

The amount of money one can earn as a professional sports player has also multiplied so the incentive to practice has multiplied also. If I spent my youth playing darts 8 hours a day I would be considered rather foolish, nowadays not so muc

You are still relatively young and anything could happen in the next 20 years. Sometimes you just need to persevere until an opportunity presents itself or you just get plain lucky. A couple of good years can give you a buffer that sets you

It looks like you arrived at the correct conclusion eventually, that producing your own expert content would pay off over the longer term. Also, that chasing traffic can have negative outcomes.

If only there was a way we could print some money to fix this... The current state of the UK is similar to a rented flat where the tenants know they'll soon be moving without the need of a reference.

Last time I had to contact HMRC involved a 5 hour wait in the call queue. However, the person who eventually answered was extremely helpful and understanding. Even gave a personal email address in case I needed to follow up.

I worked with a guy like this, he would always ask clients to phone his boss to say what a good job he had done. It worked well for him because sometimes bosses are that gullible.

One day you'll be having a conversion with someone who obviously does have kids and when they finally come up for breath whilst telling you all about them, they'll ask if you have kids too. Be prepared for an odd reaction when you

My dad locks himself of accounts on a weekly basis. Paper is the only system that is anyway reliable. Ultimately, the only 100% system is me, although not always convenient. He used to manage fine when he could use the same password for eve

I think it's generally accepted in business that the people who complain the most are those that pay the least. We've had a few low cost carriers go out of business in the UK with a significant number of comments remarking on how
