Exactly. The pizza has changed, the calories have gone down slightly especially on the cheese.

Gotta burn the tokens somehow! There’s a lot of these solved problems that devs have forgotten exist all in the name of using an llm for sake of using it.

Had a bit setup a new Wordpress install before I could lock it down. I was very confused why a brand new install didn’t give me the setup page before seeing in the logs someone had automated it. Pure evil to be scraping new renewals and dns

What’s their LLM sub cost? That’s the ongoing cost plus App Store fee. Some expensive sub to save photos is just dumb.

I vote with my wallet exactly by buying apple products over the competition. The alternatives just suck. Framework is looking promising though. But I’ve also slowed down my apple purchases. My M1 Max mbp still works great, I have no need to

I found it really hard to read, the llm-isms are just too distracting. Does no one proof blog posts anymore?

For the ad integration, obviously. Plus you tell people they can good up their Apple health and now you get more free training data.

It was common before but the LLMs took it to the extreme. They seemed to have mostly fine tuned it though. Page copy definitely smells like ai

People were submitting ai photos last year in the local fair for physical photography. Fairs really need to re think how they do these awards like requiring the photo negative to be submitted or the actual digital art files or something.

Yeah overall very happy with it. I think those games that fail to launch are more just bad code more than anything. Edit: looks like a couple of my games that had issues have been patched, nice. Thanks for that link.

The young people today are so used to just paying a subscription, it’s really sad. On the upside there is a movement in buying older physical media among the youth but I think it’s more of a fad.

I’ve run into several games that will not launch at all of you don’t have galaxy or galaxy has no internet.

Cruise ships that use destination dispatch have been much nicer too. Ships that use the older algorithms are a pain to wait during peak times. Guess plus side you’ll use the stairs more.

Think that’s the case at a few big companies. No doubt Microsoft trying to clean Windows up will give credit to their new ai models.

That makes it sound like Waymo is copying Tesla when in fact Waymo has been in the works before Tesla even considered self driving.

Same with design and art direction. I think we might see a temp slowdown in the workforce but companies will want to stand out again after realizing the slop machines spit out fairly cookie cutter designs.

They might try that for a bit but then come crawling to an agency because their setup turned to slop. We have some clients like that already. Going to be a pretty big market.

They started marking a lot of my reports as not slop when it’s very obviously ai garbage. Stopslop is nice in theory if they actually handle reports correctly. It’s exhausting to spend time trying to help clean up their results only to be t

That’s what I’ve heard from my dev team too. They’re using it to give themselves free time while still being on the clock, not to produce more output for the company. Roughly thinking about hours spent on projects I think have gone up per t

Well, they're using Render which you'd think they'd be able to handle HN traffic. Not a good look for Render as a service, especially when their first item under product is autoscaling.

I think that is really reasonable. I’ve always felt weird with flagging too because there’s no reason attached. Even if it’s not displayed in the UI, it would be nice to have something in the html if a link gets enough flags for ai. Would l
