I know Jake. I had the proud privilege of employing Jake. This is a fishing expedition, and an absolute abuse of the EPIC and PATRIOT acts. The NYT filed a lawsuit yesterday to try to start getting some transparency into these matters --

Perl used to be "too big, too popular" and writing Perl apps that plugged into mod_perl was what every company was trying to hire for. PHP will likely be replaced, but not for a long time and it will take time. And there are still a lot of

Koch brothers aren't politicians, they are financiers of political endeavors -- huge huge difference. Meg wants to be in the spotlight, the Koch family wants to be in the shadows pulling the strings.

Whitman's political ambitions died in the Governors race she lost in California. She spent over $100mm of her own money and couldn't get more than 41.7% of the vote. It wasn't even close and she out-spent Jerry Brown by more than 5:1. She

Seconded. This bar is full of Adobe people just about every single day, but particularly on Thursday and Friday around 5pm.

I guess crashing isn't a feature. I'm not trying to be a troll, but let's be honest -- There has never been a version of Flash that hasn't piece a complete piece of garbage when it comes to stability and performance. If Adobe "got it" this

Just because sexual orientation is not a "protected class" on a federal level, employment laws in nearly every state are very clear that in addition to the protected classes, you can not discriminate arbitrarily. But it doesn't matter, in N

I think you misunderstand how this works. Poor geo-targeting results in increased latency which is directly correlated with throughput and it increases congestion. Fixing that has tremendous benefits.

We've thought about letting people turn it on or off, but have held off for now. We're only sending the edns-option to authoritative DNS providers who also handle the HTTP request, and thus would have seen the entire src_ip anyways.

Ahh, this is possible. Not as likely in the US, but possible. We're working on it. At least it's fixed for Youtube, all Google properties, a bunch of other CDNs now. But yeah, some big guys still remain! We'll get 'em.

That's not true at all. http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-vandergaast-edns-client-sub... Caching works just fine. There is some cache inefficiency, but memory is cheap. Really cheap. http://www.jcmit.com/mem2010.htm

I'm one of those early users (uid == 18). I find the site too hard to navigate these days. I don't know where to click or how to filter it back to just the nerdy stuff. I guess I deserve my uid==18 since I feel like an old fogey saying t

It may be your ethical belief that all patents are bad, but we know it isn't Google's. They have hundreds of patents, a number of which list one of your co-founders as inventors. So sure, I guess it's nice that in this instance your comp
