This is nonsense, you can accept payment in dollars, euros, non-legal tender sterling coins or notes, payment-in-kind or anything else you want. They just need to value it in sterling for tax purposes.

It is not extremely unlikely, all it takes is for you to unlock your password database on a device with some malware. The point of a second separate factor is to reduce that risk.
