Thanks a bunch for that link; I wasn't aware that they had also released a very handy .pkg installer for boot2docker + docker. The installer works perfectly and, since it's the officially supported installer method, I'm polli

Unfortunately, installing the Docker client is currently broken, at least via brew: https://github.com/dotcloud/docker/issues/6256 — This made it into 1.0 The CHANGELOG states Production support as the 1.0 fe

Hoped to find the code on GitHub, but couldn't. Any reason not to open source it? Seems like it would be an interesting codebase to take a quick look at.

That's not necessarily true. My own site is a Jekyll site. To host that on S3, I'd need to generate it first and upload the generated files as opposed to my source files. Now that's not really a big deal, but I do enjoy the c

Apparently they've had a "Custom Image" beta in the admin UI for over two years [0]. There's also a CoreOS image request [1] that's been sitting around for almost a year. They just entered beta, and there's not

Is this really still true? With utilities like ruby-install that also install all of Ruby's OS X dependencies, and bundler, I didn't think it was still so difficult to get Rails up and running.

Thanks. It's been pretty tough to wait for Flynn's release. Great job so far, can't wait for it to get to stability so I can migrate!

One thing I've been wondering about with Flynn is data persistence. I have an app already running that I'd like to move to Flynn for deployment; will it be easy to bring over a populated database and have it persist, shared, acros

Awesome that OSX support is now official, but is there any benefit to using this process as opposed to using docker-osx? https://github.com/noplay/docker-osx The official installation process seems more complicated, an

I just switched from Octopress to vanilla Jekyll. Octopress was a nice way to get started, but it wasn't very long until the reasons Octopress were simple became overly complex. Theme management (the main reason I wanted to use it) was badl

You can do that if you deploy your Jekyll blog to GitHub Pages (which, why wouldn't you?). Just go into your repo on their web interface, create your post file in distraction free "Zen mode", and commit.
