Right and I don't disagree with any of what you said. I'm just asking, why is this surprising to anyone? Why are people suddenly acting like they care when this has been open and obvious for a long time?

It's a bit surprising to me that this is trending so much. Apple has been making functionality compromises for years at the expense of hackers and power users of all kinds. Is it really so shocking that MacBooks aren't compatible

This is brilliant. I actually was pondering just the other day how it seems like people have lost the ability to forgive in the public sphere. Unfortunately, I think a lot of world leaders are setting incredibly bad examples on this front.

I've lived here for about 30 years and I really doubt Boulder would last long without the university. And when I said "home", I meant condo, not house. The average tech employee in Boulder is still a long way away from house

As a full-time resident of Boulder, CO (college town), this seems like an impossible situation. I can well imagine that the university here is under heavy pressure from local government to hold classes in the fall. This is because going a s

What confuses me is why so much scrutiny is being placed on the practice of wearing a mask. It just hardly seems like much of an inconvenience. And common sense dictates pretty convincingly that it must have some benefit, however small. S

In a way, I can sympathize with this viewpoint. However, (and this may very well not apply to you) what shocks me is how often it comes packaged with a resistance to wearing masks, washing hands, social distancing or otherwise doing anythin

I still have a FB account strictly to do messaging with a certain group of friends. I would feel great about browsing FB too if it didn't feel so much like I was contributing to the downfall of modern society.

Here are a couple of anecdotal data points: I was traveling in Japan and Taiwan in October of 2019. I came down with a weird flu-like illness that persisted for three or four weeks (much longer than a flu would have normally lasted for me)
