Yes, but it's more like UDP than it is TCP. TCP has acknowledgements and retries. UDP is "fire and forget".

I moved from the north east corner of the US to the south west corner. That threw me off. It used to be "everything in the US is to the south-west of me", whereas now it's "everything in the US is to the north-east"

Friends mock me for my basic 2011 Nissan Sentra. Aside from not having a car payment anymore, I love it because of it's touch dials and CD player (CD Player that can do MP3/WMA discs). I can adjust all the climate and media contro

Funny enough, when I've tried to introduce (indoctrinate) friends to DOOM, "how do I aim up" has consistently been the biggest hangup. This makes sense when I try to indoctrinate my teenager who grew up on Halo and Call of

The quickest way for most is to look at the leaves/needles. Coast Redwood needles look more like a fir tree - flat and extending from a central spine. Coast Redwood cones are about the size of a small marble, about the diameter of a fi

I'm not a font expert, but I do appreciate good typeface. I view typefaces like shoes - different types for different uses. I have my running shoes, my hiking boots, my beach shoes, my dress shoes, etc... I have my mono-spaced typeface

When I was a kid, my dad was driving us home along a rural road from cub scouts. We came across a neighbor who needed help loading a bear into his truck. He claims that he hit it in the road and injured it so badly he had to put it down. It

Also off topic, but your comment "It's like giving a tank to a soccer mom and telling her to have fun in traffic" reminds me of the 1995 San Diego Tank Rampage where a guy stole a tank from a Nat'l Guard base and took
