Firestore is very underrated by devs as a document-based DB. It works very well for a variety of use cases and is super reliable in my experience.

To clarify: we host the initial download of the app on our CDN so we would most likely block the initial download of the app. It seems pretty reasonable to me that if a customer doesn't pay for a sub then they can no longer offer it as

Feel free to drop me an email dave[at]todesktop or dm @davej on Twitter. I started ToDesktop as an indie hacker, so I understand where you're coming from. Hopefully can figure out something that works for you. :)

Very cool, are you guys focused on databases as sources or do you plan to add API-based sources too (e.g.. Stripe Customers)? Currently using Airbyte but something more real-time would be beneficial to us.

We have recently moved our website[1] to SvelteKit. Previously we were on Sapper. Previous to that we used a custom Webpack + React setup to output a static site. Our desktop app builder is also built on Svelte (not SvelteKit). I agree with

Musk may just be wrong but isn’t it also possible that the RPCs need to communicate with an edge node in India. Perhaps government regulation requires them to store/serve some user data from India if serving Indian customers? Or someth

A missing point of comparison is that Electron also has far more desktop APIs available. Electron also has support for some advanced primitives like BrowserViews which enable some very sophisticated use cases.

Neat. I guess a useful side effect of running this is that it will be super obvious when the docs contain broken code! How are errors handled? Am I able to see errors that my customers raised while interacting with the docs?

Of course, I don't know the future, it was just a hypothetical question, not a mathematical definition. My point was just the answer is not zero because the alternative is human driving and human driving is also not zero deaths. So, at

There needs to be some testing of FSD solutions in real world scenarios and there will inevitably be deaths. There are thousands of deaths on the road every day right now. Even if FSD is mature and 1000x safer than human driving then there

It would be nice to have the ability to weave in WebViews with the native UI. I see this lib but it's still marked as WIP: https://github.com/nodegui/nodegui-plugin-webview
