As someone who owns a motorbike and uses it for my daily commute, I'm really excited about Google Glass because it means I will be able to get rid of my GoPro helmet cam and I will also have a GPS & traffic monitor. But mine is a niche

I was most impressed that he took a bite out of Rainn's chicken burger at the end. He didn't even try to find a piece that Rainn didn't already eat from, he just went for it. His general attitude reminds me a bit of Richard Branson.

Angular uses DOM templating instead of string-based templating (most current JS templating engines are string-based), so you would definitely need to fire up a headless browser (PhantomJS) or DOM (JSDOM) of some sort to get it working. It w

Yeah, it's a bit hefty to ship it outside US/Canada. Remember the price includes shipping it to you and shipping it back to 23andMe. DHL will also collect the package from your door (at no extra cost) when you're finished. If you know a fri

Yes, even with compression. A GZIP'd SVG will be 2x or 3x the filesize (sometimes even more) of a GZIP'd TTF.

onClick will be evaluated within the global scope, ng-click is evaluated within the scope of the controller. That's a pretty substantial difference. Your HTML has to be hooked up to your controller somehow, I personally prefer angular's dec

Yes, it would be trivial. In most cases though (including your example) you could achieve the same effect by simply animating a 32-bit PNG.

The green light next to the webcam will come on when the camera is in use on MacBooks. It is programmed to come on at the hardware layer so unless somebody has physical access to your MacBook then it will always come on.

There's examples on almost every page of the docs. For example, here's the docs for buttons: http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/components/buttons.html Just scroll down to the "Build with Mixins" section.

I assume Belhor means the UI responsiveness. The :hover transitions are a bit too long for my tastes and it definitely creates a laggy feeling.

Also, I'd imagine you could get hit with lots of UI repaints that could be minimized if you iterated over the loop manually.

Textmate 2 is open source now and I've been using it as my primary text editor for the last couple of months. It's become really solid and it's definitely worth a look (if you're on Mac).

Straight off the top of my head, some things that don't work in IE8: * Semantic HTML5 tags (<nav>, <article> etc.) * Media Queries * Flex Layout * CSS Transforms (2D and 3D) * CSS Transitions * SVG * Geolocation * Canvas * H

That's awesome and since Firefox and Chrome (and Opera?) are evergreen browsers they will presumably be able to phase those browser patches out quite rapidly on the 2.x branch.

That sounds smart but it also means that you'd need to keep track of and store user actions centrally. I don't know if I'd like that. You could always make it an opt-in feature I suppose.

Super useful, love it. Some queries I tried (results were not perfect but pretty decent): howdoi split string javascript var split = 'john smith~123 Street~Apt 4~New York~NY~12345'.split('~'); var name = split[0];

The 4-Hour Chef is probably not a surprising choice since it's a recent release and Amazon has been pushing it heavily (Amazon are also the publisher). I'm just over 60% through the book so I don't want to give it a ringing endorsement just

Fireworks (and I think photoshop) has a slice tool. So you coud slice them into rectangles and export them all at once. One big TIFF is an insane way to package icons for the web. Also why use TIFF over PNG?
