Yeah they are both acting as a RAT essentially. Just one is in your control and one isn’t.

Why? I'm an iOS developer and, while I don't love everything about liquid glass, that is the current design language of iOS. I certainly don't think having my app sticking out like a sore thumb, using a design language from o

The parent comment is seemingly blaming React for the decisions of Shadcn for some reason. There’s nothing about React that requires you to overcomplicate your DOM (unlike many other UI frameworks).

If you already have a Swift app it could be worth considering. Or if you are targeting like 90% iOS users and just need Android support to check a box.

Yeah unless you legitimately enjoy it, want the experience, or want to save up some money for a while - I don’t think it’s worth it (coming from someone that spent 10+ yrs at FAANG). It’s certainly not apples to apples with any other random

I’ve been using Alfred for forever, but with the new Spotlight on Tahoe I’ve decided to just try using Spotlight alone. So far I’ve been pretty happy with it. But I was never a heavy user of the Alfred power features (despite owning a lifet

I agree but barely ever use my MacBook not docked to my external monitor and keyboard. So for me I just stick to the Magic Trackpad in such cases.

I could see this being interesting in treating game elements as React components and using that level of abstraction. E.g. imagine a Snapchat "lens" type experience (one screen with little fun mini game experiences) that the user

Why do you need AdGuard Pro and Brave blocking? Isn’t that duplicative?

Doesn’t AdGuard (pro) have this too? Why use both AdGuard and Lockdown?

Thanks for your perspective! I’m all-in on Omada now with WiFi 6 APs and a few managed switches. Been working pretty well overall, but my network config is pretty basic. I was more just curious if I was missing out on something great (or if

Question: if the OS does proper app sandboxing how is this basically any different from having unrestricted access to a web browser or email? Oh no granny tapped a bad Google ad and got phished! I guess we should kill the open web and use t

Not to be an asshole, but you must not be very familiar with F-Droid. It’s not just a random hodgepodge of “third party” binaries. It’s all FOSS software that was actually built from source and verified. Probably much safer than a random ap

I meant the password manager would just be to help you keep track of the names. The names themselves don't have to be long (e.g. `s11@mydomain.com`).

Absolutely. The Biden administration was censoring posts (even memes) on Meta platforms during COVID, according to Zuckerberg.
