I organize my life around not being interrupted. Work from home, respond to messages when I get to it. When I have an idea or thought that might interrupt, I write it down quickly on an ideas board or my notes for later and discard the thou

While I don't completely disagree with the sentiment here, I agree more with the GP suggesting that YC started with great intentions (let's give makers a little money and support and minimal bullshit and see what they make) and th

So I don't disagree with anything you said. Where I do disagree is in your thinking that this capability can somehow be repressed. The technology is here. This is the world we live in now. Shit is going to get really weird. OpenAI is j

Yes, but they didn't release the model after training and you can't take your weights with you if you finetune their model. GPT Neo was trained at similar expense, and they released the weights. Use that.

I don't know why anyone is still paying attention to Open AI's offerings. Use GPT Neo. Use Huggingfaces. Use colab or bare metal or any cloud provider. Open AI's offering is bringing literally nothing to the table that doesn&

Not really, you need to install things, know how to program, and probably pay for GPU compute. Even with Colab (which is an ok choice if you don't own a beefy GPU; the consumer Nvidia cards--if you can get them--don't have enough
