"China accounted for 16 percent of fourth-quarter sales, or about $4.5 billion, Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said on a conference call yesterday. Quarterly sales in China were up almost four times the year-ago level, he said." This is s

Android and iOS are looking more and more similar as time goes on. Android copies iOS... iOS copies Android. Sometimes Android is ahead with features, sometimes iOS. Eventually both OS's will reach a point of maturity with relatively equ

Just require the user to add "app" after the app name. Again only the apps the user installs are added to Siri's commands available to the user.

Siri will be open to 3rd party devs IMHO. User will say to Siri, "[App Name], [command]." "New York Times app, read me the 10 top stories." "Pandora app, play Sugarland station." Each developer can list a series of actions = verb + object.

I just downloaded the issue on my iPad. Download the businessapp, and you'll need to subscribe (but you can cancel later) to download the current issue of Steve Jobs.

I agree it's a big "IF". IF Siri works as advertised, then it really could be revolutionary. I remember being pumped up by Google's demo of voice recognition, only to try it out and find it novel and cool but not dependable and accurate e

I agree. I think what Apple is releasing in Siri could be bigger than most of us realize. I have several android phones and don't use the voice recognition much because 1 out of every 4 or 5 tries it returns things I didn't mean. That's

Google/Android was first to market with systemwide voice-to-text. But Apple won't disappoint. I expect Apple's Assistant to be pretty impressive.

That's true. I buy tons of Amazon stuff. Sometimes because it's cheaper. But most of the time because it's more convenient (even when it's more expensive). I factor in wasted time/gas/energy to go to the store and Amazon wins out almost

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Apple products have proven to be appealing even through the Great Recession. More people will buy iPhones and iPads. Amazon has an infrastructure no one comes close to with online ordering,

I have to agree. iOS and others are innovating so quickly compared to the web, and the usage of native apps especially on mobile devices is just skyrocketing. The trends are pretty clear.

I totally agree. Netflix unified gave me the added value I needed to be a subscriber. Now that DVDs and streaming is not only separate subscriptions but even separate accounts, the value of Netflix/Qwikster has plummeted to me. I might j

It's always been confusing to me why Google couldn't come up with a better ratings and review system for local businesses. Google Maps is great on the web and mobile, and they've got millions of users. But still Yelp beats them with revie
