My partner works in geriatric care, I doubt you realize how many old people are lonely and would take this way out if they could. But that's not what this law does right, this gives people who are suffering intolerably an option to not

I doubt they just created a law for this and just walked away. According to this [^1] news article made in 2019, of the 62000 cases of euthanasia there were 15 that might not have been what the patient wanted. In only 3 of those 15 it seems

If you treat people like resources I imagine its hard when they dont function like you want them to, consider treating them as humans (like you and me!) and you might just understand that they need some unexpected time off now and then.

Nowhere does this change disallow app makers from collecting data, they just need to be transparant about it. Apple should be held to their own standards just as much. To your second point, which big company nowadays doesn't? Not sayin

That's like blaming drug users for the existence of cartels in their current form. Sure without demand there is no supply, but in both cases regulators have failed the public in limiting the harmful effects the supplier causes. Subject
