I think one of the biggest problems with modern app development (web and desktop) is how much developers assume that their app is your primary app (and thus can hog resources/screen space/etc). The only apps that can ever reasonab

The best thing about Vim is that you don't have to choose between Vim and an IDE! Any text editor or IDE that's even moderately popular will probably have a decent Vim plugin. The only downside is that you generally won't hav

Given that Vim's biggest barrier to entry is its learning curve, I don't think starting out by teaching people 8 ways to do 2 things is the right approach. Agreed that exiting should be the first thing taught to new Vim users thou

As someone who regularly adds custom CSS to sites to fix various UI issues/annoyances, I can say that I'm definitely not a fan of minified CSS classes.

On the contrary, I think Introducing video as RGB is definitely the right choice. RGB is familiar to most people, and is ultimately how things get displayed on your monitor. For digital video, YUV is really just a convenient format for comp

This is no less cryptic. Either tell us what you think the solution is and point us to these primary sources that "lay it bare" or don't bother saying anything. Dancing around it like this is pointless.
