Signal for sure has improvements it can do but it's not like it's unusable. Why you would think WhatsApp, who is owned by a shady company, run by a robot, is better than signal, is beyond me.

Why not just use podman? It is pretty much a drop in replacement for docker and doesn't require sudo or docker group.

Can't say anything about this tool, but compared to ansible, bash is mostly fine. In my opinion ansible is a (and pardon my language) clusterf * of a tool compared to the alternatives. Certainly, if bash had the likes of inventories,

On first glance this looks awesome. Certainly will be better than the bunch of scripts I've written to provision my laptops.

I work for a company called LaunchDarkly. We're aiming to resolve the issues that come with feature flagging. Worth a look if you're looking for SaaS app.

Trunk flow often requires feature flagging systems to control what's not ready yet. Feature flagging is an issue to solve in itself. At previous places when I've touched feature flagging it's always been something along the l

I don't quite understand why people don't keep it simple. Use short lived branches, and merge to master. Need to do a release? Master is your release. Tag the release when it's ready. Need to make a hot fix onto the current d

I started out with OpenTasks after setting up Nextcloud, but soon hated it. Didn't feel intuitive among other issues I found. Still, I was forced to use it for a while, until I accidentally stumbled upon Tasks.org on F-Droid, and it&#x

I moved away from it because they still don't have a fully featured Linux client, and their 1PasswordX client is missing some features, and seems to be in general quite lot slower than Bitwarden. Having said that, Bitwarden is a big p

Depends really. If I've just joined a place where I've got no clue how the code works, the best thing I can do is use a debugger. It will make me understand how the code works, and will get me to the bugs quicker. I agree though.

Sure but reasonable for me is different from reasonable for you. In addition, I might miss files that are repo specific. Insisting repos don't have a .gitignore is terrible advice. It doesn't cost much to maintain it if at all.
