So I would argue the easiest way to plot log log x is to parameterize the x domain. For f x = log x where log has base b, we know that f b^0 = 0, f b^1 = 1, etc. what does g x = log log x look like? Well, we know log x is undefined for x &l

I'm not quite sure where you're going with k vs k+1. we know that s + d = 209 (1) and we know that 6.5s + 2d = 836.5 (2) we can rewrite (1) as d = 209 - s (3) substituting (3) into (2) we get 6.5s + 2(209 - s) = 836.5 (

Since the parent removed their comment, the gist was that they described f being big-theta of g as f growing exactly as fast as g. this is stricter than what big-theta actually means and is actually defined as "on the order of" or

Sorry! I never really spent much time in the physical sciences, so I didn't know that. You would obviously not want to pick Joules as a fundamental unit.

Canonicalization is tough, and requires you to define some common ordering on your units. Systems will use an array of unit powers, so that if the array were defined as <Joules, Seconds, Newtons, Meters>, then acceleration would be &l

An issue here is that the the nth Fibonacci number has O(N) bits, so once you move into arbitrary arithmetic calculations your +'s and *'s will become O(N) and O(N logN) respectively.

You're right, that is skeumorphic. And many other things Apple does are too. However, that doesn't mean every thing -- like the leather stitching in "find my friends" -- that Apple does involving natural textures is skeumorphic.
