> the 52-48 reflects a point in time The number of people who claimed to wish they could change their vote after the result was surprising. How many referendums do we need before people decide they've voted "properly"?

The world doesn't need that! It shouldn't be encouraged!

That also depends on the team. If your company has dedicated data engineers, great! Otherwise you're probably stuck with it.

> classes give it lip service I agree with this. It's fine to teach machine learning using the iris dataset, but there is rarely, if ever, a section dedicated to "real" problems. It was a shock to me just how high a percen

That seems odd because if I happen to be browsing from abroad I might be put off by the shipping costs, which would turn out not to even be accurate for the destination I want. > They want to factor shipping into the price transparently

Shouldn't the shipping costs be based on where you're shipping to rather than where you're browsing from? Or am I misunderstanding?

Hmm interesting, I hadn't thought of looking at the scripts and such, thanks for the heads up. I do like the interface (the distraction-free and Hemingway modes as someone else mentioned) but I don't like the idea of my data being

Came here to post a similar story. Played the piano for many years, hated practising and performing at recitals, eventually stopped complaining it was too much effort. Now I wish I had a solid foundation to build on as I've stared play

This is underrated advice that applies to any household chore. I like cooking for the sake of cooking but the time spent on it feels wasteful. If I put on an educational podcast I suddenly don't mind the time I spend cooking/washi

For me the difference between an open plan office and a coffee shop is direct interruptions. I can drown out the ambient noise of a coffee shop and get into flow when coding. In an office, people walk up to you/phone you/whatever

A lot of Japanese websites are the same. All the navigation buttons are images for example, I found that quite a bad experience over slow wifi!

Yeah when I notice it getting hot I usually reboot to kill any background processes. Typically what happens is I put it away and pick it up half an hour later only to see that it's dropped like 10% battery. My next smartphone purchase

I have to agree. I should have learned my lesson after the Galaxy S2 Mini I had, but I went and got the S4 Mini anyway. I regret it now - after 18 months it barely lasts a day with me not doing much with it and gets very hot. Last Samsung I

It's a testament to their database that many young players who are good these days were good on FM years ago (with some notable misses of course as well... Freddy Adu, I'm looking at you...)

What's the latest version you've tried? I've always enjoyed FIFA even knowing it's an arcade-y approximation of the real thing. These days though, players don't run "on rails" like they used to, and everyt

Even so, that can be reduced to twice a day if you cook in batches (i.e. have leftovers for lunch). That seems more optimal to me without compromising the healthy aspect.

I agree with this being a good way to do it. As a user a barrage of emails is a turn-off, especially the "I see you haven't used X yet" emails. I get why they need to be sent, but I still find them a bit too intrusive.
