Does wrapping everything in spans and divs impede SEO in any way? i.e. Google aside, does Bing and other crawlers interpret: <span>Perfect</span> To be the same as: <span> <span class="word2" style="display: inl

On the topic of discipline, yesterday I tried a new way to work. I placed a few large boxes on my regular desk, and placed all my peripherals and monitor on an elevated plane (too cheap to get a standing table :D). Then, turned on some good

I am very much liking Entity Framework's Code-First process. Instead of generating code to match a relational database, generate a relational database to match my object model. (So you have full control over what your data objects does) Com

To be fair, the article is inaccurate. The patent describes a component (in this case, a sphere of some material that grabs snow around it) being used in the construction of a snowman. Thus, the snowman/woman is not the creation here.

Find one that complements your skillset. If you're perfectly capable with the technical field but useless anywhere else, a business co-founder or a design co-founder can complement your skillset and let you concentrate on what you can do be

Entity Framework for .NET allows for 1 more form of ORM, which is Code First. Using reflection, you write your entity Objects, and it generates a DB model for you. It sufficiently covers about 80% of common ORM use cases.

Much better. But VSS is so horrid, that's not really saying much. Microsoft has never figured out the whole "team" aspect of collaborative work, and heavily relies on file locking to prevent things like merge conflicts. Whether you find thi

This is interesting... how long ago was this? If you look at the app posted by OP, you'll find that it is a blatant copyright infringement (its god damned PIKACHU for crying out loud). This was posted in April 2010. Perhaps you were unlucky

Apple does not actively check for copyright infringement afaik. We're not even talking copyrights... you could take someone's app, copy it verbatim (reverse engineer and reuse assets event) and re-release it with the same name and Apple wou

My understanding of Rollback in Event Sourcing is that there IS no rollback. If an event causes the model to be in an invalid state, another event must be triggered to rectify the model into a valid state. (Simplistically speaking)

Greg Young, himself, asserts that CQRS is NOT an architecture. And also asserts that CQRS itself has nothing to do with Event Sourcing. http://codebetter.com/gregyoung/2010/02/16/cqrs-task-based-u... "CQRS is not eventual consistency, it

I'm not inclined to believe in any charitable intent with Apple's move. Apple's target focus has traditionally been about the users (user experience, user interface etc.) and seldom about developers. Apple needs this. Else it will potential

Depending on how you look at it, they could also be giving Apple the finger, saying they will not follow Apple's asinine lock-in restrictions. Unfortunately in the end, the developers suffer.
