Not every comment need be an article, but the internet would be better if every comment has actual justification and not just statements. I said “prove” at first, but I should’ve said “justifies.” It’s a better word for this. An equally pla

Isn’t English fun? I think “possible” has a less precise connotation than “probable” which suggests some statistics.

We can work backwards from correct predictions and develop an understanding that way. But most people just need to know if it’s going to be storming, hot or, going to rain on a given day and that is where this shines.

It’s not a justification though. That’s what I’m saying. Just because the left doesn’t mention an issue, doesn’t mean that a consensus is reached. No political party really talks much about school shootings in the US nowadays, but that does

What exactly do you mean by “easier?” What steps would need to be taken for mass deportation?

No, but one shouldn’t take high impact statements about what the “consensus” is on any issue from random comments on the internet without any justification.

Nintendo could do away with emulation all together by requiring games to always ping Nintendo servers in startup, or they won’t run. They could include any number of DRM strategies to prevent emulation at the cost of longevity of their soft

To nitpick a bit. That article is about _arrests_ not crimes committed. Undocumented folk are arrested less frequently, but that doesn’t necessarily mean fewer crimes are committed. It could just as likely be that undocumented folk probably

Git operates on commits (branches are really nicknames for specific commits with some extra features), which are discrete steps. That’s what’s stopping you from doing anything continuous in git.

It doesn’t. Had to manually refresh keys a couple months ago. It’s a yearly ritual to appease the arch penguin.

Just because there are 2 possibilities doesn’t mean they’re both equally probable.

Sdl is a good choice for very large and complex games too. Very low overhead abstraction over platform specific APIs. IIRC the source engine uses it.

To take a stab in the dark. JSON and xml are both data representation formats, but the code snippets in the article seem more like a declarative language. You could make a declarative language using JSON semantics, but maybe they wanted som

If you have a Nintendo game on a Nintendo console, that game will continue to work on that console as long as it still physically functions. If Nintendo goes bankrupt, my game boy, 3DS, GameCube, Nintendo 64, and switch will all still work

Maybe I’m not able to articulate my thought well enough. Taking an existing image and reversing the process to get the tokens that led to it then redoing that doesn’t seem the same as inserting token to get a precise novel image. Especially

> Not all details matter, some do This is a key observation, unfortunately generally solving for what details matter is extremely difficult. I don’t think video generation models help with that problem, since you have even less control o

I don’t doubt it, but even 60 seconds of temporal consistency is an improvement, even if it’s incremental.

Do not make assumptions about people you do not know in an attempt to discredit them. You seem to be a big fan of that. I have been working with NLP and neural networks since 2017. They aren’t just black boxes, they are _largely_ black boxe

How does your conclusion follow from your statement? Neural networks are largely black box piles of linear algebra which are massaged to minimize a loss function. How would you incorporate smooth kinematic motion in such an environment? The
