I second this. I'm over 60 and looking to change jobs. I've been looking at 1099 contract work since I don't need health insurance benefits (get them through wife's work).

This release finally ends my relationship with Apple laptops. I was hoping for a more capable non-touchbar version with a fixed keyboard. I won't spend that much for a machine that has a feature I dislike. Time to move on for me. Al

Compared to a standard Electron app, I'm sure the Java version will seem pretty svelte.

If this comes to fruition it would be great. I, wanting to start a new commercial desktop app, recently researched using Python/PyQT. The packaging situation was not good so I decided on another technology but I'd love to be abl

I bought my first (of many) iPods immediately after it was announced. Watched the keynote and got it. I can't remember any other device getting more use in my life for several years. I still have the original 5GB iPod.

I’m a senior developer in the Washington DC area and 1) I definitely do not take 30 days vacation per year and 2) I can assure you that I would lose my house and probably more if I was out of a job for 6-10 months. So I guess regardless of

I was an F-15 electrician in an aircraft maiantenance outfit in the Air Force. She came in as a jet engine mechanic and we got close. At that time I was just getting interested in 8-bit computers (Atari). When we were newly together she w

Mine has had only had flaky wifi (killer) and a driver install from Killer's site remedied that. Other than that it's been a flawless machine. Windows 10 still doesn't have all of its' HiDpi issues worked out but I lov

I can set up a basic Tomcat instance, ready for a deployment, in a couple minutes. Weblogic or JBoss is more pain but you don't necessarily need that.

I'm still loving it at 60. I'm actually looking forward to being able to change jobs in the next year, but I am realistic about how difficult it will be.

Great timing for this as I just removed my XPS 15 from the box not 30 minutes or so ago. I still haven't decided if I'll dual-boot Linux or use VMWare.

As a longtime user of both OS's, I think Explorer is a lot more usable than Finder and has been for years. Personal choice of course.

Same boat. I'm currently shopping for a Windows laptop to replace my aging MBP. It's an odd feeling that Apple doesn't even offer a MBP in their current lineup that I'm interested. Between the pricing and the fact tha

I agree with this proposal. Appending "(paywalled)" to the title at least lets me know this info exists and, if it's something I'm likely to be interested in, I can go to google or some other web source.

As said, differences and all. To me Splenda tastes like sugar. No aftertastes at all. Stevia on the other hand is awful with a bitter taste that I can't even take.

I almost see what you see. In our large enterprise Android is not really even a player. Macs do kind of suck especially for some of our multifactor security requirements(CAC/PIV cards). Windows rules the desktop and iOS is the pre
