That was kind of my point.. MCAS should turn off as soon as a single sensor fails, and three sensors are therefore unnecessary. Two sensors are sufficient to detect when a single sensor fails. If you only have two sensors and two fail,

Is there no chance of that gallium alloy amalgamating with other metals it might encounter? It seems really sketchy, but I guess it's probably not since I've not heard horror stories.

If Apple decides to flagrantly break that law, what options does an individual consumer have? Is there a government agency that will fight on behalf of that consumer, or does the consumer have to hire their own lawyer?

Right, but the MCAS system as it was implemented during those two crashes did not disable itself when the two sensors disagreed. It could have, but didn't. Boeing is apparently changing that, and I believe that change to be suffici

You can't compensate because you don't know which one is wrong. However you can make MCAS inactive whenever the two sensors are disagreeing with each other.

You don't.... That's why I said "and cut out if one disagrees with the other." If they don't both give the same reading, MCAS turns off .

Three angle of attack sensors seems unnecessary to me. They simply need to make MCAS pay attention to both (2) and cut out if one disagrees with the other.

In America, financial success endears more than ethical behavior. And when the financially successful get away with unethical behavior, it reinforces the idea that financial success and ethical behavior are antithetical, which only encour

If the allegations are founded, Netflix needs to be punished harshly for this. As a FANG company, their practices set the tone for the rest of the industry. There are far reaching implications for a company like Netflix getting away wit

It's not popular on 4chan, but there are other smaller imageboards on which it's popular to use usernames (tripcodes in their parlance.) I can't say I'm a big fan.

With forums you often get a topic that has 500 posts, 480 of which are pure "me too / works for me" noise. Those 500 posts are split into 50 pages of 10 posts each, and page one has the oldest posts. The post with the a

In my experience 4chan has more attention seeking behavior than IRC (inline images facilitate it moreso than nicks), and on IRC users tend to be more friendly and aware of each other's humanity.

With these sort of things, it's better to tell the truth and get fired than to lie, and wonder if you're going to get prosecuted somewhere down the line for lying to a federal agent. Jobs aren't so rare; you should think tw
