Reading some of these comments makes me wonder what it was like when explorers were trying to justify exploring the "New World". Humans have been exploring forever. Why stop now?

At least Windows 10 has built-in functionality to reset it. No longer do I have 10 separate DVDs of Windows 7 in random places in my house.

This winter I transferred a ton of VHS tapes and a bunch of MiniDV tapes. The process is vastly different (obviously analogue vs digital). VHS was a lot more fun with the super cool deinterlacing/FPS boost stuff you can do with AviSy

I _think_ that table is measured in groups of chargers. If so, comparing the brands is a bit moot since most non-Tesla normally has at least 4 (and normally much more) charging bays where as many other DC fast charging places normally have

It really depends on where you are. I do hope Tesla keeps on pumping them out in high-traffic areas though.

I think it will cause more people to use the chargers. It will only be _worse_ if Tesla doesn't react and expand (hopefully with their new-found $$$ from other auto makers).

It's worth noting that BO is much less open (pretty much the other end of the spectrum as SpaceX) about its progress. We aren't really sure exactly how far along a lot of their projects are other than "not really close".

This question lines up with my experience: "Which IDE / editor do you use the most for C++ development?" I'm in gaming and I wish our codebase would reasonable work within VS Code but VS2019's tools just feel more &

I misread the title as "Gource". If you're not familiar, it's a fun history visualizer for git repos: https://gource.io/

And then there is my girlfriend, who makes use show up 10 minutes early to make sure we are in our seats for the trailers! Honestly I don't mind the pre-movie trailers. I like movies and they give me time to go pee and stuff.

I've admittedly only tried doing this once, but it got no where. The police said they wouldn't/couldn't do anything unless they were on-site and could ID the driver.

Tesla fan here: The Tesla echo chamber is very real in online communities (here, reddit, etc.). I personally enjoy playing with the progress of autopilot over the years and I'd be sad to see it more restricted. I understand that it can

It will be interesting where we draw the line on "good enough". I think people will naturally be much more critical of a car than human drivers even if "overall" they are statistically safer.

Why do people (schools) care? What's the goal here? How does tracking everything a student does help them and how can they justify wasting time and money on this?

I'd hope they have a "panic" mode that at least "safes" the car. It's also worth pointing out that humans are notoriously bad at "exceptional cases" sometimes. People full-stop on the freeway for sma

One of the arguments made in this talk is which sensor to trust when there is a disagreement. I'd love to see the scenarios where this happens with three types of sensors and the logic they use to choose the "right" one.
