I understand you built this for yourself and your use case. Did I read this correctly in that it _needs_ a mac (because only that can be the server) though? Came to look if this could replace my linux to linux or - more common here - window

Hey, I'm sorry to hijack this. Is there a way to contact you about rsync.net? Support hasn't replied for a week, Twitter seems unmonitored - don't know any other way but this right here.

I agree. The city feels _designed_ for cars. There are lots of streets that are more or less not crossable in CBD without walking forever into one direction and try and find a pedestrian crossing. Drivers are aggressive to the point that I

I'd say it's a bad local situation (no bike lanes to speak off, narrow crowded sidewalks) and bad attitude. The joke is that a scooter comes with a Bluetooth speaker, playing EDM music at full volume.. and that joke is somewhat ba

Here in Singapore they have a very bad reputation after some nasty accidents with pedestrians. They're banned from the streets and sidewalks are a joke locally. I think they would be an awesome way to commute if you have bike lanes to

Aldi should support CCs and Google Pay. Haven't tried for a year and don't quite know if it was north or south, but yeah. Paywave or Google Pay worked fine to buy your groceries..

Restaurants surprise me. Small shops I know and that can be annoying. Bavaria is kinda backwards even in my mind and a traditional family run bakery might be cash only, "Backwerk" etc. accept cards I think. The _kind_ of cards doe

If I send you an email for my healthcare service and you click on a link in it, you confirmed your (free? most likely?) email address. If I send you a letter for the same service and you enter the code within, you confirmed your address. Di

I do not think this is funny, I think it's rather immature. But if things like this _actually_ trigger any sort of response, then the effed up thing isn't the (childish) prank, it's the system actually acting on nonsense. If

Skype for business is shit. It filters content. I cannot paste an error to a colleague, because it's "too large". If I first write a meaningless "Hi" instead, I can paste the text just fine. Settings revert a lot. I

My laptop doesn't have an End key. Trips me up every time I am without a decent keyboard (to be fair: I mostly use it docked).

Came here for that. I .. wasn't even aware that this exists, but that seems awful on so many levels? What FB 'features' do you need in a company? I thought Slack is the go-to for cat pics and birthday gifs?

Well, I wrote that with the experience of someone that knows no foreign language but English and reads a lot of books. I wish I had a $currency for every time I used a word that I understand, can spell, know well - and got laughed at by peo

I'm not sure how that applies. Granted, I have a _very_ limited knowledge of languages. I speak German. And persist/keep trying to reach some level of competency in English. German has French (and English .. and more..) loan words

I honestly did. But the descriptions (just like the StackExchange link's replies) are utterly alien to me (squat..? How?) and I haven't found it in me to go on a video hunt (the StackExchange one links to something which supposedl

It is quite clean, for sure! It's so much cleaner than any other place I've been to. But people are people and some things are quite normal and expected here.. Like randomly putting these bikes ~wherever~ or littering cigarette bu

There are lots of places here in SG that have these toilets. They ... freak me out, tbh. Mostly because I have not the faintest idea how you'd use them and "So, how do you do your business" is not among the list of conversati

I see bikes without saddles (stolen?), with destroyed/sliced saddles (vandalism) and in otherwise okay shape lying .. everywhere in Singapore. Sometimes in the middle of the road (the divider, not the actual road). In random bushes. Ye

I'd say 'abusing' is the term I'd go for - and it seems awkward for an ISP/network operator of that size to ignore the rules. If mum and dad's home network uses 1.1.1.1 because it's "cute" or wha

Nothing like that is an excuse. You have 10.0.0.0 for that - it's huge and you can use it for whatever you want without stepping on anyone's toes. There are absolutely zero reasons I've seen so far (I'd be interested to

Visual Studio without git .. is barely usable. The whole team system integration is a UI disaster, busy, slow and takes gazillion clicks to get anywhere. I like VS as an IDE. The TFS integration is a nightmare in my opinion.
