If your code is starting to look ugly, refactor it. If your refactoring is looking ugly, stop, you're doing it wrong. If a test breaks because of your refactoring, stop, you're doing it wrong. I call this the Don't be Stupid principal.

I don't think you understand what the word "like" means. It is a word used to convey similarities, and not exact sameness. The OP states that chocolatey is LIKE apt-get for Windows, he does not say that choclatey IS apt-get for Windows.

Whose second guessing a god. I'm second guessing your absurd claims that there is a god. When said god shows up at my door, then I can second guess his inane actions, but until then, I'm simply second guessing the claim that any god exist

Anyone know if there is a way to convert a TFService repository from TFVC to git? I'd like to convert a new project, not yet started that id full of the backlog and test cases, etc...

Yea, well, I really liked this, and I think it's something that I may go back to as a voyeristic peek into the lives of people I will never meet. It feeds these 6 second videos into my brain without me thinking or installing the google ear

I think the point is to demand an internal investigation, and to ensure that destroying peoples lives in order to gain a metric for advancement will not be tolerated.

The one true strength of humans over all other species is we adapt like no species before. This is simply another adaptation, and if we suddenly lose the internet, we'll adapt again. I don't fear the consequences, because we'll either hav

This is what I think may be their biggest problem. Because of the outages, and due to my own stupidity, I have been caught with my pants down twice because Github was always just up. And then I thought, well, lesson learned, they won't go

Good. Honor is a social construct used to enforce control on the weak, and shame those who choose not to conform.

Or the more likely cause, which it was an easter egg. Google got caught with it's hand in the cookie jar, and removed the offending code before it got in trouble.

I'm not going to say this proves it, but I'm convinced it's shenanigans. I can't figure out whether or not I have a problem with it. There are some good arguments why it's bad, but not good enough that I actually care. I just don't see t

I never forget to pull before going remote, and today I did, and the one time I actually need github to be up and it's not. But I can't be upset, even if this wasn't my fault, it's github.
